Butter Chicken Pola

Ingredients:

200 gm boneless chicken
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp kasuri methi
1 tbsp yogurt
salt to taste
oil/ butter, for frying

For Masala:

1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
2 onions, finely chopped
1 tomato, pureed
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp kasuri methi
1 tsp red chilli flakes
2 tbsp cream
salt to taste
1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

For Batter:

3 eggs
1/2 cup plain flour
3/4 cup milk
3 tbsp oil
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp coriander leaves
salt to taste

Preparation:

  1. Cut the chicken into small pieces and marinate it with 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, chilli powder, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp kasuri methi, yogurt and salt .
  2. Then shallow fry them in oil/ butter and keep it aside.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp butter in a pan and add 1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste and finely chopped onions and saute well.
  4. Add pureed tomato and cook covered till the raw smell goes and oil separates.
  5. Add fried chicken and salt into this and mix well.
  6. Add 1/2 tsp cumin powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp kasuri methi and red chilli flakes and mix well.
  7. Add cream into this and mix well. Add 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves, mix well and switch off the flame.
  8. In a blender, add eggs, plain flour, milk, 3 tbsp oil, baking powder, 1 tbsp coriander leaves and salt together to a batter.
  9. Heat a non stick saucepan on low flame and add 1 tsp oil / ghee and spread the bottom and sides.
  10. Pour 3/4th of the batter and add the chicken masala and then pour the remaining batter.
  11. Top it with some coriander leaves and cook covered on low flame till done.
  12. Then flip the prepared pola to another hot pan and cook on other side for 3-4 minutes on very low flame.
  13. Remove to a serving dish, cut it into pieces and serve…
