Ingredients:
20 mussels/ kallumakaya
1 tbsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/4- 1/2 tsp fennel powder
5 cloves garlic (1 tsp garlic paste)
salt
oil for frying
Preparation:
- Clean the mussels outer shell and boil them with enough water, till the shells open.
- Drain the water and remove the mussels from the shell. Clean well the mussels by removing the black part from the bottom and all the dirts. (Check this link)
- In a bowl, add garlic paste, fennel powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt , mix well and make a paste.
- Marinate cleaned mussels with this paste and keep it aside for 15-20 Â minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan, add marinated mussels and fry on both sides in medium flame till they become crispy..Serve hot..
