Ingredients:
20-25 mussels
1/2 cup rice flour
1/4 cup plain flour
1 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 onion, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, crushed
few curry leaves
salt
oil
Preparation:
- Clean the mussels outer shell and boil them with enough water, till the shells open.
- Drain the water and remove the mussels from the shell. Clean well the mussels by removing the black part from the bottom and all the dirts and keep it aside.
- In a bowl, add rice flour, plain flour, chilli powder, turmeric powder, finely chopped onion, garlic, curry leaves and salt and mix well. Add 1/2 tsp oil and enough water and make a thick batter.
- Dip each cleaned mussel in the prepared batter to coat it on both sides and deep fry till it turns golden brown. Serve hot….
