Ingredients:
1 cup rava/ semolina
1 cup plain flour
1 beetroot
2 tsp ghee
salt to taste
oil for frying
Preparation:
- Peel and chop beetroot into small pieces and grind it in a blender adding about 3/4-1 cup of water. Strain its juice and keep it aside.
- In a bowl, add rava, plain flour, ghee and salt and knead it well adding enough beetroot juice to make a soft dough. Keep it aside for 30 minutes.
- Make small balls out of this dough and roll it into small thick circles or discs using a rolling pin.
- Heat oil in a pan and slide each rolled poori carefully in to the hot oil and fry on both sides on medium flame and drain it on a paper towel…Serve hot…
