Hariyali Chicken Curry


1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
1 cup mint leaves
1 cup coriander leaves
4-5 green chillies
1 cup yogurt
2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp kasuri methi
1/2-1 cup cream
salt to taste
1/2 cup oil
2 tbsp ghee
2 whole green chillies
1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped


  1. In a blender, add mint leaves, coriander leaves, 4-5 green chillies, yogurt and 1/ 2 cup of water and grind together to a smooth paste and keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil and ghee in a pan and add ginger-garlic paste and saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Add cleaned chicken pieces, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt and saute for 5 minutes.
  4. Add ground green paste and cook for few minutes.
  5. Add cumin powder, garam masala and kasuri methi and mix well. Cover and cook till the chicken is cooked well.
  6. Now add cream and mix well. Add whole green chillies and 1 tbsp coriander leaves and cook for 2-3 minutes . Switch off the flame and serve hot…
