Ingredients:
2 cup raw papaya, grated
1/4 cup green gram/ cherupayar
1/2 cup grated coconut
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
4 shallots
1 garlic clove
3-4 green chillies
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1 sprig curry leaves
salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
Preparation:
- Soak green gram/ cherupayar in water and pressure cook it adding enough water and salt and keep it aside.
- Crush grated coconut, turmeric powder, shallots, garlic clove and green chillies together.
- Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
- Add curry leaves, grated papaya and salt and mix well and cook covered in low flame for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Then add cooked cherupayar and crushed coconut mixture, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from flame and serve with rice…
