Ingredients:
1 cup grated coconut
1-2 green chillies
1/2 inch ginger, chopped
1 shallot
small piece tamarind
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1 sprig curry leaves
2 dry red chillies
2 tsp oil
salt to taste
Preparation:
- Grind grated coconut, green chillies, ginger, shallot, tamarind and salt together to a smooth paste adding little water. Transfer it into a serving bowl and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a small pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add dry red chillies and curry leaves.
- Pour the seasoning over the chutney,mix well and serve with idli/ dosa…..
Love this coconut chutney all the time.Yours look bit different than mine.Have to try this version.
