Ingredients:
2 drumsticks / muringakka
1/2 cup grated coconut
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2-1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 cup grated coconut
1 garlic clove
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp urad dal
2 dry red chillies
1 sprig curry leaves
salt to taste
1 tbsp oil
Preparation:
- Cut drumsticks into pieces and keep it aside.
- Crush together grated coconut, cumin seeds, garlic and chilli powder and keep it aside.
- In a pan, add drumstick along with turmeric powder and salt and cook it covered adding little water till the drumstick cooked well and water dries up.
- Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
- Add urad dal and dry red chillies and fry till brown and add curry leaves.
- Add cooked drumsticks and coconut mixture to this and mix well and cook it for 3-4 minutes at low flame until dry.
