Peach Pulissery


1 tin peach slices in syrup
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp + 1/4 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
1 cup less sour yogurt, beaten
1 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2 dry red chillies
1 sprig curry leaves
salt to taste
1 1/2 tbsp oil


  1. In a pan, add peach slices along with its syrup, 1-1 1/4 cup of water, turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp kashmiri chilli powder and salt and mix well.
  2. When it starts to boil, reduce the flame to low and cook till the peaches are soft and cooked.
  3. Switch off the flame and keep it aside to cool. Then add beaten yoghurt and mix well.
  4. Heat coconut oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds. Add cumin seeds, curry leaves, dry red chillies and 1/4 tsp chilli powder.
  5. Add this to pulissery and mix well. Serve with rice..
