Ingredients:
2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/2 cup green peas (fresh / frozen)
1 big onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tbsp gram flour / besan / kadalamavu
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp cumin powder
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp cumin seeds
salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
Preparation:
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker and splutter cinnamon stick and cumin seeds.
- Add chopped onion and ginger-garlic paste and saute well.
- Add gram flour and turmeric powder and saute till raw smell goes off.
- Add chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and cumin powder and mix well.
- Add chopped tomato and saute and cook till soft and mushy.
- Add cubed potatoes, green peas and enough salt and mix well.
- Add about 1 1/2 cup of water, mix well and cook covered for 2 whistles.
- Add chopped coriander leaves and sprinkle little garam masala and mix well. Serve hot with neer dosa, chapati, rice etc..
