Pink Raita


1/4 cup beetroot, chopped
1 cup yogurt
1 green chillies, finely chopped
1/4 cup small onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp grated carrot
1/4 cup cucumber, chopped
1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
1/4 tsp cumin powder
salt to taste


  1. Grind the chopped beetroot adding 2-3 tbsp water to a paste and keep it aside
  2. In a bowl, add yogurt, cumin powder and salt and mix well.
  3. Add ground beetroot paste to this and mix well.
  4. Add coriander leaves, green chillies, cucumber and carrot and mix well. Serve as a side dish with rice, naan etc..
